BNP Paribas names Asia-Pacific transaction bank head
Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort brings close to four decades of banking experience
The Asset   21 Sep 2026

BNP Paribas has appointed Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort as its head of transaction banking for the Asia-Pacific region, a role he will assume alongside his current role as the head of global banking for the region.

Based in Hong Kong, Beaufort reports to Paul Yang, BNP Paribas’ Asia-Pacific CEO, and functionally to Aurélia Normand, head of global transaction banking and global head of network banking, and George Holst, global head of corporate coverage, sectors and advisory. Beaufort succeeds Philippe Noirot, who relocates to Europe to take on a new role within BNP Paribas.

Beaufort, in his dual capacity as the region’s global banking and transaction banking head, will lead the effort to bolster BNP Paribas’ banking platform, the bank notes, enhancing its ability to provide a holistic offering and seamless banking experience for European multinationals growing within Asia and Asian corporates expanding into Europe, as well as other client groups across Asia-Pacific.

Notably, Beaufort brings close to four decades of experience in banking, having held senior leadership positions across multiple markets in Europe and Asia at BNP Paribas.

“Beaufort’s extensive experience and acute understanding of business development for MNCs [multinational corporations] across Europe and Asia position him perfectly to lead our Asia-Pacific global banking and transaction banking businesses,” Yang states. “His leadership will be instrumental in strengthening regional connectivity to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of our clients.”
