Capital Group expands Hong Kong office
New hires support rising client demand for active investing capabilities in the region

Global active investment manager Capital Group, with more than US$3.4 trillion in assets under management, has expanded its Hong Kong office with key appointments. The latest hires aim to strengthen the firm’s client coverage in Greater China and Asia.

Chris Tong has been appointed managing director, financial intermediaries, Greater China. He will focus on expanding coverage of retail wealth channels and deepening client partnerships to support demand the group’s active investment solutions. With 15 years of industry experience, Tong joins the firm from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he was an executive director. Aaron Tsang joins as business development associate to support regional business development. Both report to Henry Chan, head of financial intermediaries, Hong Kong.

Hillary Juan has been appointed fixed income investment director, reflecting growing client demand for income-oriented strategies. She joins from BlackRock, where she was an iShares fixed income product strategist. She reports to Jeremy Cunningham, investment director.
