Commercial real estate and investment management company JLL’s hotel and hospitality group has appointed Irina Chadsey as its vice-president of investment sales for Asia, with responsibility for hotel sales and advisory in the Southeast Asia hotels market, with an initial focus on the Singapore sector.
Chadsey, who will be based in Singapore, first joined JLL’s hotels and hospitality group in March 2016 in Singapore, where she made significant contributions to the firm’s Asia investment sales team.
She returns to the company after four years at ONE Championship, where she was most recently the senior director of brand partnerships for global strategic key accounts. Notably, she was a finalist on The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition, which aired on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Her return to JLL comes as market activity and sentiment, JLL states, is expected to accelerate in 2025. Asia-Pacific’s hotel investment market, according to JLL analysis, is demonstrating exceptional resilience and growth potential, with the firm projecting US$12.8 billion in hotel transactions for 2025.
This optimistic forecast is underpinned by several key factors, including the sustained robust performance of the Japanese market and a positive trajectory across the region, with markets like India, South Korea and Thailand recording substantial annual growth.
“The hotel market in Southeast Asia, led by Singapore and Thailand, is drawing diverse interest from global and regional investors,” says Julien Naouri, the company’s senior vice-president for the hotels and hospitality group in Asia-Pacific. “With her expertise in strategic consulting, international sales and relationship management, we are delighted to welcome Irina back and have great confidence that her expertise will be instrumental in driving our hotel sales initiatives in Southeast Asia.”
