Sun Life has appointed Georgina Farrell as chief human resources officer for Asia, effective May 1.
Farrell will drive the Sun Life’s talent and culture strategy in the region, focusing on talent development, organizational growth, and employee engagement.
Farrell joins the group from RSA where she was chief people officer, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe, and played a key role in developing an integrated people strategy to support business growth.
With over 20 years’ experience in HR leadership roles in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, she has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and aligning people initiatives to business priorities to drive business growth.
Farrell will be based in Sun Life’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong. She will be a member of the Asia executive team and HR executive team, reporting to Helena Pagano, executive vice president, chief people and culture officer, and Manjit Singh, president of Sun Life Asia.
Farrell holds a bachelor of arts in economics and politics from University College, Dublin, and a bachelor of science in human resource management from Dublin Institute of Technology.
